Hey ,
Happy Sunday to you and your again buddy!
I wanted to share this with you for a while but have just gotten around to it.
I know you'll still appreciate it though 😊
Sometime ago, closer to the start of the pandemic, one of my readers asked the question, but at that time there wasn't much here to talk about online grocery shopping.
Now though, we have a number of them!
But Sheree got to work and got what she considers the TOP 5 of them in Jamaica right now.
And the beautiful thing, you can order from anywhere you are in the world, as many in the diaspora has been doing, and sending groceries to family members here in Jamaica.
And that's the featured article for this week!
But do remember that I have several other new and insightful content on the website via the blog, so kindly stop by and check them out.
And now, the...

Mr. Scully, from the video above, when asked 'What Makes Jamaica Special?'.
His answer, consistent with the many other persons before was, 'The People' - and he goes on to explain that in more detail.
But I'll just hasten to narrow it down to persons like him, the artisans, the builders, the craftsmen and all the likes!
Today I hear that their skills are in great demand overseas too!
So this week, I salute them as truly they are amoung Jamaica's finest products!
Sometime last week I got one of the sweetest emails ever 😊 !
It was from a couple in Athens, Texas, USA
(I didn't even know there was an Athens in Texas).
Anyways, apparently they got married here 36 years ago, at the then Jack Tar Beach Resort. They just paused to recognize one Ms Pearl Davis, a notable Jamaican, that presided over their vows then.
They recognized Ms Davis, but today I recognize them, Robert and Athalee!
Congratulations and may your love light continue to burn bright!
Did you know...
... that the citrus, “Ugli Fruit”, is native to Jamaica?
The fruit was first bred in Brown's Town Jamaica in 1914, hybridizing a grapefruit and a tangerine.
It got its name from the unsightly appearance of its rough, wrinkled, greenish yellow skin, wrapped loosely around the orange pulpy citrus inside. An ‘ugli’ fruit is slightly smaller than a grapefruit and has fewer seeds.
This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book.
Did you know that former 100m record holder Asafa Powell, cultural icon Oliver Samuels,
and popular recording artiste Konshens, all celebrate their birthdays in the month of November?
Oh yes! And there are quite a few other big names too (including my brother, Dwight, and aunt Verna 😊.
And that's it for today. As usual, thank you for your time, I do appreciate it. Until next week again I say, #KeepSafeAndSane .
