Happy Sunday to you and yours again ✨
I thought I'd continue this travel series for the rest of this month.
And this time - following up on that question about free shuttle last week (and as promised sometime ago) I'll give you a bit more detail on the new duty-free
benefits that the government of Jamaica rolled out.
The primary components of these modifications is the increase in the customs duty threshold for personal items from US$50 to US$100.
Concurrently, the travelers' duty threshold will increase from $500 to US$1,000 for their personal belongings.
And that customs duty threshold, which took effect on April 1, refers to the maximum value of goods a person can import without having to pay customs duties.
But what about accompanying or prohibited items?
Venesha covered these and more in a really helpful article.
Here's the link 👉 https://www.my-island-jamaica.com/what_is_the_duty_free_threshold_in_jamaica.html take a quick read🧾
Its also included in this week's 'recent stories' so you get to digest it twice😊
And yes, remember to share, the more, the merrier💃
