Happy Sunday again to you ,
I trust and hope that most things are well on your side.
If you follow mainstream media news here, you might have heard about what was called a 'cult-like' church that was uncovered here, did you?
Yeah its all over the place.
But you know me, outside of never surprise about anything, I never dwell on the low, negative, despicable and depressing stuff to give it any more energy than it deserves.
And so, outside of a mention here and there, with the intention only for general information, I focus my mind (and share with you) the positive.
And by the way, I am fervent in my belief that the significant majority of us are great people, thank good, unfortunately the bad seems to always overshadow the good, but that's why I'm here :-)
But anyway, away with my rambling,
As we continue further into the month of October (Historically, Heritage Month), I'll share a little quiz about our history with you.
Yes we have a fantastic history, but how much do you know or remember of it ? Be honest with me now.
Let's see 😉
And by the way, I have a little ranking too :-)
- 16-20 points - Excellent (You know 'yuh' stuff)
- 11-15 points- Good (You have a basic knowledge)
- 6-10 points - Average (Just enough to show you were exposed)
- 0-5 points - Poor (Sorry, you need some history lessons urgently)
So go ahead a try it now.
And please, remember that I have tons of exceptional and insightful content on the website via the blog, so please remember to stop by and check them out.
And now, the...
I went back in the hills of Maroon town (my third visit) to Mr. Barr!
Yes the same gentleman without hands!
And today we are doing the Farm & Garden tour where, in addition to traditional Jamaican herbs and fruits, you'll also get to see his breathtaking garden that is used for special events.
Here is it, embedded below.
Please be sure to LIKE and comment.
And if you like it, please SHARE it with someone, the more the merrier!

I reflect on the events over the last week or so here and thought how much we are bless as a people with the freedom we enjoy today, religious, political, social and even the press (media).
Unfortunately we don't always use it responsibly but still, we are ranked right up there with the top tier.
This is not an invitation for us (local and outsiders) to take advantage of, it is just a recognition of how far we have come as a people - unlike perhaps the greater part of the world.
So asked me and I'll tell you that's a strong intangible product we have here my friend.
If you know me by any measure you know how much my family back in the country means to me, but also the food!
I tell you this, no city food taste as good as my fresh green bananas, yam, dasheen, carrot, papaya, pear and the works, from home.
And yes, I got a healthy serving on the weekend.
Thanks again to Aunty V, Uncle Raph and Las!
Did you know...
... that the Manchester Golf Club in Jamaica is the oldest of its kind in the western hemisphere? It was established in 1868.
This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book.
I have a super special video to share with you next week and so you don't want to miss it! Hint: Let's say it is very personal
:-)
Until then, #KeepSafeAndSane
