It's Monday again, and I would like to invite you to do a little mindset exercise today.
You always have two choices!
What does it mean?
As a marathon runner preparing for my race number 25, something peculiar happens after approximately 30 kilometers (16.6 miles). You run into the famous "wall." It all seems to come to an end, but you still have another 12km to run.
You have two choices when it comes to what to focus on:
- You feel how your legs hurt, and probably you have to trough in the towel before falling down dead.
- Only 12 km left, which is less than 30% of the whole race. You can visualize the finish line, and you can already feel the victory.
Both ways of thinking are valid, but as you can imagine, the outcome will be different. The way you focus will decide how you will manage the rest of the race.
I love to compare entrepreneurship with a marathon race, as they have so much in common regarding mindset.
Think like a marathon race if you have tried or are trying to start your online business without any positive results yet.
What to focus on?
How difficult it is, or that your success is just around the corner.
This week is a perfect moment to put your feet firmly on the ground and focus on the finish line, so close that you almost can touch it.
