No Tricks, All Treats here!
Hey there,
Just a quick note in the flurry of Halloween
costume-making. There's a new review up on the blog, I found some really fun-looking freebies for you, and there's a nice seasonal discount going on!
First things first: In case you missed it on my Facebook page, the second Mister Mottley novel is on sale half-price for the rest of October. If you liked Gets His Man and were waiting for a good time to grab your copy of Dying Fall, now's your chance!
Next, a review of Witches' Bane by Susan Wittig Albert. I don't often review mysteries in contemporary settings, but now that I've found Albert's detective China Bayles, I may start reviewing more of them! A great Halloween read, just spooky enough to be fun.
Finally, I found two Halloween-themed Kindle freebies with great reader
reviews. I can't wait to hear what you think of them.
Enjoy!

Mr Mottley & the Dying Fall begins on October 21, 1932 (according to the article in the London Times that appears in the prologue). "Give 'em hell." That's tough-talking China Bayle's way of offering encouragement. But during Halloween week in Pecan Springs, Texas, it comes perilously close to the
truth. This pumpkin-spiced mystery is firmly down-t0-earth, but comes with a hot sprinkle of fire and brimstone, a sideways glimpse of Santeria, some New Agey pagan playacting, accusations of witchcraft, and the suspicion of a Satanic cult.

Readers on Amazon give Murder on the SS
Rosa an average rating of four stars, with special praise for the characters and setting. The main complaint seems to be that readers wanted more! It's currently free on Kindle, and you can grab
it here.
