This past year has been one of major challenges and great support. We thank all of you who have helped our EWL team members battle the spread of Ebola by donating to the Women's Bucket Brigade Phase 1. There is still much work to be done to eradicate this virus from West Africa, but we have seen gains in that the spread seems to be slowing in Liberia.
A new challenge is emerging which our EWL members in Liberia are rising to meet. There are many children left orphaned because of Ebola. The Liberian women in our network have asked for our help as they reach out to these children.
We are so grateful to the folks at Cornerstone Evangelical Presbyterian Church, in
Brighton, Michigan, who recently held a Global Thanksliving Event which helped raise funds for EWL. These funds will allow our EWL team in Monrovia to minister to at least 25 Ebola orphans and the women of the community who have taken them in. Read More
