"Untangling the Web of OMS Billing"
This course will draw on Terri's 30+ years of experience with medical/dental cross coding and billing for OMS Practices. She will cover the correct coding principles and guidelines for diagnostic and procedure coding seen most often in OMS practices. This includes coding for grafting and implants, oral pathology, trauma, orthognathic, oral appliances,
radiology and anesthesia. She will walk through scenarios on all of these topics, when and how to use modifiers appropriately and when to use a dental code versus a medical code. She’ll also examine updates on E&M changes that may impact your practice.
Topics to be covered are:
- ICD-10 codes and documentation requirements
- Updated guidelines on the E&M codes and CPT modifiers
- Coding for Trauma and Radiology including CBCT and CDT updates
- Bone Grafts, Implants and Oral Pathology
- Coding for Anesthesia, Orthognathic, TMJ and Medicare
