hello
and welcome to an unusually dry period of our early UK summer - except when you go walking in the countryside, then it's all there underfoot! What a wet start this year!
Firstly, thank you for all your lovely emails of appreciation about my complimentary art books this spring! Quite a
few went out from the studio. I'm so glad you are liking the book! Sorry about the odd one or two that got soaked beyond repair! As agreed - a very wet spring! We are now wrapping them all in polythene first, which should do the trick. Say no more. Also, thanks again for anyone putting up reviews on the website or on Google. I love it when people leave reviews on Google especially, as what you say goes a long way with art-lovers who don't yet know me. So thank you! 😀(More are always welcome of
course!)
As an art lover, (I'm assuming you must be to be reading this?!) - I wouldn't be in the slightest surprised if you have been feeling somewhat frustrated of late. Why? Well, obviously we're all different, but with all the cost-of-living rises, inflation, mortgage hikes, economic
uncertainty, etc., is it possible you've been at least somewhat hesitant to stick your neck out lately to treat yourself to something you'd really love? Maybe a new dream piece of art on your wall, for instance? It might as well be out over the blue horizon, if you know what I mean - yes? Add to that the fact that many a piece of mine that might catch your eye is shown at anything between a thousand and two thousand pounds - maybe just a tad outside the 2024 budget for many people.
If this applies to you, I have some fantastic news to tell you! First though, here's a little story: 😊
A Real-Life Happy-Ending Story!
Thirty years ago a young student happened to see a large painting of mine in a gallery window in Falmouth. It was £900 and he loved it so much he later wished he had blown all his student grant on it and starved for the next term! (I didn't know this until very recently.) Fast forward
three decades and three or four years ago I happened to be in the donkey sanctuary near Falmouth, and this same not-so-young-now man came up to me and introduced himself and his family, recognising my face off the internet. He told me he'd always wanted to own an original of mine, but hadn't yet managed to stretch to it. But one day he would! (Of course I reassured him that wish would one day come true. 😍) It always makes my day when something like that happens - and it made his day to meet me
too!
In the Sense of Space collection below, you'll see an oil painting called Down Toward The Orange and Blue - a well-admired piece that's been on show at £1,130. Well, my art-loving fan, who now lives in Plymouth, loved this painting so much he emailed me and asked what I could do for him. The end result is that he's extremely happy with the instalment plan I've offered him
and is over the moon to be finally getting an original painting of mine! How much is this costing him? Well, as I'm not saying who he is, I can tell you exactly: A £57 deposit this weekend plus 23 easy monthly instalments of only £25 (the cost of a meal out - if you're lucky!) That's just £632 paid over two years, with no carriage cost, no extra charges and no interest to pay.
How cool is that? That's what I'd call a win/win situation! And I'm offering the same kind of deal to anyone on my mailing list. For a small deposit you get to have the artwork you love in your home (or office), without having to significantly impinge on your possibly limited finances. And I get to enjoy a nicely smoothed out curve of regular income, so I can better
guage where I am with my business and relax! (And more paintings are happy to be out of the studio onto the walls too! 😄) Ok, that's win/win/win then!
Your Personalised Instalment Plan
I expect by now you are aware of my Easy Instalment Scheme for buying art? It's rather like the UK government's Own Art scheme that galleries run - but far more versatile and simple to set up! (That's because I'm a trusting kinda guy 😍So, no hassle, no credit checks, just an honest check-in together to see what feels right and a simple agreement we both sign.) Furthermore, as a subscriber to my Exclusive Membership, the prices you see,
(which I have to show to keep consistent with galleries), are not the prices you will pay. Oh no - nowhere near! Instead,we agree on a comfortable price for both of us and a plan you can easily afford without any worry. It's really that simple.
[Oh yes, if
you'd rather pay me outright for any piece, then of course I'd be delighted with that too! 😊]
My Collections Of Artwork
So, here are links to collections of work I have available in the studio. Of course, if you happen to be down in Cornwall at all this summer, (or even live here!), you'd be more than welcome to drop in and see all this work and much more. Just text or email me with avalability times. Give as much notice as you can, as I'm still between Cornwall and Devon.
