Â
strange times indeed - how are you doing now? It definitely has been a time of self-reflection, in view of the constantly changing mirror of the world! And wherever we might personally stand regarding current universal issues, buttons are getting pressed for sure. Personally, I’ve found it quite challenging to maintain a sane healthy sense of self,
maybe you have too?
Â
Life and death have been placed before us in ways not previously experienced, coupled with issues of right or wrong, beneficial or detrimental, just or unjust, etc.
Â
I don't know about you, but for me it seems to have been a time of being held in a kind of limbo of opposing forces, forcing a temporary shutdown of creativity. It's felt rather like that special time each morning before dawn, when darkness seems at its darkest. And yet we also know that dawn is rapidly approaching. Being ‘all in this together’, if
you're anything like me, you have possibly also felt quite alone.
Â
This is the first time since the September Cornwall Open Studio event that I’ve found it within me to reach out. I know some artists, even during the early lockdowns, didn't faulter in both creativity and communication. As someone extremely sensitive to energies in the collective, I have been significantly debilitated in this regard, not having done
more than about 3 hours of actual painting since the end of March 2020. (I've also moved home twice during that time - so I’ve had other things going on).
Â
So, it feels the right time now for me to tentatively put out feelers into the world again – both into my own world of creativity and toward you, as someone with an interest in what I do. To this end I’ve written a blog post with my latest news - things in the pipeline, as they say. I have one or two very exciting developments on the horizon! To read
all about them, go over to my website now. Please also reply to me here and let me know how you are doing - I'd love to hear from you.
Â
P.S. I’m also planning a grand prize giveaway of three original paintings - worth over £2,000 in all – so be sure to keep an eye out for my March newsletter!
