TL;DR
Coaching is all about transforming insurmountable problems into problems you enjoy solving. Think of it as changing a job into a hobby.
What's your hobby? I bet you have encountered setbacks, made mistakes, and solved problems on the path to completing a train set, building wood furniture, or tending your plants.
I bet you enjoyed that problem-solving process.
What's your job? I know you will have had setbacks, made mistakes, and solved problems there.
Yet some work problems are stickier, more painful, and laced with anxiety. Some of these setbacks may seem definitive, unsolvable: something you must live with.
Since the year started, most of my clients had a sharp pain and asked for help solving a seemingly unsolvable problem. What kind of problem:
- they had trouble getting heard in meetings;
- they didn't know how to talk about what they did;
- they found themselves gripped by fear each time they had to speak in public.
I can't say that a few sessions with me can make you assertive in meetings, develop you into a skilled storyteller and win stage fright definitively. But these sessions are guaranteed to change how you see the problem.
- If being heard during a meeting was a chimera, it looks in reach now.
- If storytelling was an impossibility, now its building blocks are clear and within reach.
- If fear was all-encompassing before, now it's only one negative component alongside your strengths and techniques.
People that work with me learn to enjoy the problem. Work problems evolve into hobbies.
Is there a problem like that in your work life? Then do what my clients do: find a coach or trainer who can help you enjoy it.
