One

I have found the only useful meeting. The holy grail of calls. The cream of the crop of business get-togethers. The one!

Before I reveal this magical meeting, a quick update: I just released one of my comprehensive guides. And that's a big deal.

Since 2014 my in-depth guides have been read over a quarter of a million times. And, on average, readers spend over 5 minutes sifting through them. That's the equivalent of 868 days of reading or two and a half total years spent on my content!

When I said this is a big deal, I meant it.

This time the subject I will guide you through is Marketing Audits.

This new guide has very much to do with the meeting I mentioned before.

I hate meetings, just like you. Most meetings are called to share information that would fit an email, a memo, a presentation, or a video.

Good meetings are about making decisions. And must trigger follow-up actions.

What is the new pure-breed meeting I found?

I call it "30 minutes of data."

I meet with the small marketing team of my client WordLift to look at... data. One of us shares the screen, and we spend quality time with numbers related to the business.

Since we are marketers, we look at website analytics, email marketing numbers, e-commerce statistics, and social media dashboards.

But if you're in sales, finance, operations, your data may vary.

After each meeting, we learn something we didn't know before. At the end of each call, we come home with several new questions that need answering.

It works: it's a useful meeting. Why? Because it gives you the benefit of a weekly mini audit.

It's a short appointment to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of business as usual and spend time looking at what you've done retroactively.

It's not a project-based retrospective or a post mortem, even though it's something similar to both.

You integrate observing, analyzing, and learning from data in the routine of your work.

This sparks new ideas, optimization of current projects, and countless learning opportunities.

Another way to get the advantage of this meeting is to call me to run a marketing audit of your company or project.

If you're interested in that, book a call, and we can talk details.
