ARI HONARVAR was born into an Iranian family of poets and poetry lovers. She is a translator and an artist who blends Persian calligraphy with paintings to present Rumi's poetry in new and evocative ways. In
performance, she brings forth the spirit of Rumi's poems with stories and in the form of deklameh, the Persian art of becoming the poem.
