The Brazen, Bold, Saucy Pink Power of the Women's Marches this Weekend, and How They Healed my Heart

Published: Tue, 01/24/17

Dear ,

It was so beautiful to see so many of your faces, in person here in Oakland & San Francisco, and online from far away, at the Women's Marches. Nearly 4million of us marched to voice our support of the empowerment and liberation of women, immigrants, the LGBTQ community, racial equality, and healthcare on Saturday... it's possibly the largest single day of protest in history.

I wrote a piece that I just published on Medium about my experiences there, "The Women's March Cured my Post-Election PTSD.  Here's a snippet to whet your appetite...

During the lead-up to the election, therapists and psychiatrists across the country started reporting that clients who had made great progress in working through PTSD and trauma from sexual assault and domestic violence were backsliding into panic attacks and depressive episodes. After the election, my friends in facebook world plastered their screens with contact info of suicide prevention hotlines and emergency centers.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that Donald Trump makes us crazy.

Oh, and here's a really cute picture of Brie at the march that my sister-in-law took:

Much wintery love to you and your liberation!
