My personal experience ...

In October 2016, I had cataract surgery.  Immediately following the surgery, I was given three prescriptions for three different types of eye drops to be filled at my local pharmacy.

With my prescription plan, #1 cost $12, #2 cost $16, and #3 cost $156.  #1 and #2 were OK, but not #3 so I then asked for a generic.  The generic came through at $78 which again was "no way."

I then went to www.goodrx.com (you may also click the icon above).  I followed the instructions, entered the information required, and then printed out a discount form to take to the pharmacy.

The bar code on the discount from was then entered into their computer and the cost for #3 came out to be $27.  Now I've been out of school for a long time, but when I went $27 was less than both $156 and $78 (oops, I'm told it still is).

When you have prescription questions, I'll do my best to answer them.
