Dear Friend of Jack The Bike Man, Children’s Charity.
I can’t say thank you enough.
I thank you personally, and on behalf of the Jack The Bike Man team for your support through the years. I write today to ask you to help us secure our permanent home.
Contributions from people like you made possible our purchase in 2021 of an historic building on 426 Claremore Drive to be our permanent home; something we have never had as we moved 7 times since I began this work some 20 years ago. I can now feel confident that the Children’s Charity will remain viable long after me. And, that our
programs will meet the increasing needs of our community.
To date, we have raised about $495,000 toward our total renovation goal of $2,800,000 for the 1925 building and hope to raise the balance or a substantial part of it by the end of 2022. We, too, were challenged during the height of COVID pandemic restrictions making face to face meetings, GALAs and other public events rare or
non-existent, but still our team remained together and focused. Our recently held GALA, in December, was our most successful.
Your help has been instrumental in moving us forward and I ask now for your consideration of additional funding; toward our renovation campaign. If we are able to raise enough funding in the next months we can complete the work necessary to meet codes and allow us entry into the new building by the end of this year, as work continues in other
areas of the facility. Importantly, we will be relieved of rental payments to our current landlord, costs now about $200,000 annually. Please consider a gift toward our permanent home
Again, from the bottom of my heart I thank you. I will always remember and cherish your belief in us.
Sincerely and Respectfully,
Samuel Henry “Jack” Hairston
