Have you ever noticed that water can seep in everywhere? Even into the splinters of rock you can't see but feel with your soft pads of your fingers. It's so extra. And so quietly transparent as if it's nothing at all. Bruce Lee thought water was enigmatic and wily like that too.
While that oozing boundlessness can be painful, dragging you over sharp corners or steep drops, it is also effortlessly free. Like the kind of free you can never know until the cracks form and fill with you. Flowing away from what you were, what was, streaming and stretching toward...what? Anything else.

Many people will take stock of 2020 this week. Looking for the joys, the wins, the bright spots. There will be
Gratitude Games. It will be meaningful and reflective goddammit!
Joy and gratitude are easier extract from abundance. By all means, please do feel your joy. And share it such that everyone can leave 2020 with some droplets of it. Let it be boundless and free, like water. Let it stretch outward toward anyone or anything else...just because.
2020 was not everyone's worst year; it wasn't mine. Many people live the desperation, isolation, financial distress, hunger, agony, and loss of 2020 for more than one year. For some, decades; their whole lives.
Now that we're all grown up this year...let your joy and gratitude fill the cracks. Let us not hold it close to ourselves only. Rest that soft feel against your face, breathe it in, and unhand it. Effortlessly.
Joy is boundless and free. Your joy is boundless and free. Like water.
