Secure your seat at The Profound Autism Summit before they're gone!
I hope you had a chance to check out my recent interview with Dr. Alycia Halladay, where talked at length about Profound Autism. If not, you can catch it here.
We talked at
length about what Profound Autism is, and why this distinction is important.
We also talked about the upcoming Profound Autism Summit, which is taking place on Friday, April 5th. According to the event organizers:
The Profound Autism Summit is a one day conference bringing together leaders from the areas of research, medicine, treatment, advocacy, education, and human services to discuss the needs of those with Profound Autism across disciplines and throughout the lifespan.
Yes, there will be Behavior Analytic talks, including one by Dr. Greg Hanley titled, “A Compassionate Approach to Treating Severe Problem Behavior Associated with Profound Autism." And there will be talks that discuss funding, services, healthcare, and more.
So if you support individuals with Profound Autism, you'll find
interesting and relevant topics throughout this multitrack, one-day event.
The summit is conveniently located at The Boston Marriott Burlington, which is a pretty
easy drive for most of us here in New England.
If you can't join us in person, please consider signing up for the 1000%, non-spammy mailing list.
This list will keep you up to date with all the happenings of the Profound Autism Alliance, and down the road, the events of the Profound Autism Summit will be made available for asynchronous, online participation.
