Hi
I haven't had a chance to do a lot of homework on this issue truth be told, but I saw this petition to support ABA pop up in my various feeds, and it seemed like a no-brainer to pass it along for your consideration.
In case you you haven't seen this yet, let me quote directly from the petition itself, as it appears to sum up the issue quite succinctly:
The National Council on Independent Living (NCIL) has proposed a resolution to officially oppose Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Behavior Analysis has been extensively researched and proven to assist individuals with improving language and communication skills, academic performance, attention/focus, and social skills, as well as reducing challenging behavior. The NCIL's rationale for their opposition of ABA is misleading and dangerous.
