Don't Forget

The Next Instalment
I know this isn't really Underground news but it made me laugh so much I thought I would share. "Please Mum. don't keep washing your plate. We have a dishwasher. Just put it in the dishwasher along with your cutlery and it will all get washed when we turn it on." This was the result. I thought we could send it to Bosch with a letter advising them that their dishwasher is very good but not very practical as it only holds two plates. and doesn't clean very well when more is put in. It still makes me howl with laughter and it was a week ago!

Don't Forget
Monday is a Bank Holiday so we will be taking a day off. I have listened to what you want though and in 2017 we will be open for a short time on the Bank Holidays in May and August instead of closing for the full day.
This will allow those of you who are still working full time to get longer in the gym at a more sociable hour rather than before or after work. I hope this meets with your approval...or are you already thinking "Boo - now I won't have an excuse not to go"?
Looking After Your Back
One of my Pilates members said to me this week, "This is the first year I have spent doing the garden without pulling my back and that is all down to you." It, actually, isn't down to me but down to them attending the Pilates sessions every week, putting in some homework and continuing to strengthen their core by being mindful and focusing on posture whilst doing the garden chores. If you  know someone who would benefit from Pilates by the way they moan and groan when they get up from a chair, roll out of bed or whilst putting on their socks then please click here and we will get you or your friend/ partner a FREE trial session.

"I Don't Understand!"
I did a little experiment to show why we feel better and slimmer after exercising for a while but the scales don't change. We lose fat but put on muscle mass. Both of these weigh 1lb. The one on the left is muscle (steak actually and it was yummy) and the one on the right is pure lard. As you can see, one is bigger than the other. So you can lose a pound of fat, put on a pound of muscle and be smaller but the scales won't change. Tell that to your brain and if your brain is happy with that knowledge then we can throw the scales away can't we? Yeah right!
Happy Bank Holiday
I hope the weather is fabulous for us as we go into September next week. I, for one, will be in my garden as much as possible soaking up those few rays that we might get and just enjoying being outside. Make the most of it while we have people. Stay being lovely and i hope to see you in the week
