☕How Do You Take Yours? ☕

~A Few Words From Susan~

Dark or light? Hot or cold?

How do YOU take your coffee?

I prefer mine hot - if it's made from freshly ground, high quality Sumatran beans, I'll take it black.  Otherwise, I"ll add cream, but no sugar.

After a month in Italy, drinking only tiny little cups of espresso, it was great to get back to my own Cuisinart Grind N Brew, with my own beans, served in a heavy-diner-style 12 ounce mug. Italian Espresso is wonderful for a transition between a heavy meal and an after dinner drink, but it just doesn't do it for me in the morning.

If your coffee is a little acidic, check out the video I created with the secret to make it smoother - I am positive that you already have it in your kitchen right now.

And if you pefer your coffee cold, our cold brew filter can turn any pitcher or jar into a cold brew coffee maker. Save 20% with the coupon I've included below.

Best,

Susan

Tip of the Day

Here's a delightful tip for your morning cup of joe: before brewing your coffee, try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon to the grounds.

Not only will it add a warm and cozy flavor to your brew, but cinnamon also has antioxidant properties and can help regulate blood sugar levels.

A Guide to Essential Coffee Drinks

Ah, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee—truly one of life's simple pleasures. For many, it's not just a beverage; it's a ritual, a moment of blissful indulgence to start the day or savor during a leisurely afternoon break. Whether you're an espresso enthusiast or a latte lover, understanding the nuances of various coffee drinks is essential to enjoying the experience.

Espresso: This concentrated shot of coffee is brewed by forcing hot water through finely-ground coffee beans, resulting in a rich and intense flavor profile. Served in small demitasse cups, espresso is the purest form of coffee, boasting a bold and robust character that is sure to awaken the senses.

Cappuccino: Typically served in a small cup, this Italian delight features equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and foam, creating a delightful balance of flavors and textures. The key to a perfect cappuccino lies in achieving the ideal ratio of espresso to milk, resulting in a creamy yet nuanced beverage.  In Italy, it isconsidered bad form to order a cappuccino after noon.

Americano: This simple yet satisfying drink consists of hot water poured over a shot of espresso, creating a smoother and less intense brew. Ideal for those who enjoy a more diluted coffee experience, the Americano offers a gentle kick of caffeine without overwhelming the palate.

Flat White: Hailing from Down Under, the flat white has captured the hearts of coffee aficionados worldwide with its velvety texture and delicate flavor profile. This Australian favorite features a double shot of espresso topped with steamed milk, resulting in a silky-smooth concoction that's perfect for savoring any time of day.

Macchiato: The macchiato is a delightful marriage of espresso and a dollop of foamed milk. Unlike its larger counterparts, the macchiato is served in a demitasse cup, allowing the bold flavors of espresso to shine through while offering just a hint of creamy sweetness.

Latte: Crafted with a shot of espresso and steamed milk, the latte strikes a balance between rich espresso and creamy milk.

So go ahead, brew yourself a cup of your favorite blend, and indulge in the simple pleasures of a well-crafted coffee beverage. Cheers to coffee perfection!
