Given the competition for most jobs today and the amount of
information available online, employers expect job candidates to be well-prepared and well-informed. If you are not well-prepared, you appear uninterested in the job. If you are not interested in them, they are definitely not interested in you.
The more you understand about the employer, the interviewers, and the employer's competitors, the more relevant and positively impactful your answers to their questions will be.
