Peoples Baptist Ministries' 48 Year Mission 

For the past 48 years, Peoples Baptist Ministries has been heralding the name of Jesus our Lord in the most populated country in the world and neighboring countries without apology, amidst many religions and rituals. 

I returned to India 6 weeks ago and have been traveling, visiting, and encouraging new works and recently organized churches. 

I conducted over 36 Gospel meetings, where we proclaimed the gospel of Jesus, and over 500 people received the Lord Jesus. 

We continue to do follow-up work and hold several baptism services in various churches. 

During my trip, I met with over 700 of our pastors and laymen involved in ministries across various states. 

We held two days of gospel meetings in Orissa attended by over 800 people each night, with nearly 90 receiving the Lord and many believers recommitting their lives.

Bible Distribution

We also distributed 700 Bibles at these meetings to many who could not afford or obtain them. We thank God for those who provided the funds.

We received additional funds for 8,500 Bibles from Brother Niranjan in Australia, another great blessing.

Collaborative Efforts and Outreach

My good friend Dr. Barry Somerville from Finger Lake Baptist Church in Geneva, New York, joined me in teaching at a few extension Bible institutes. 

He spoke in local churches and in two family conferences. Due to political issues, he could not speak in public gospel meetings.

We have been ministering in a couple of meetings and gathering sacrificial offerings to help build a house for another pastor in Chhattisgarh, who is suffering this winter without a proper place to stay. 

It is overwhelming to see the growth in new believers, baptisms, and church expansions. 

Some churches have already expanded their outreach ministries and started new churches from their own congregations. 

Our ministry's future goal is for each church to start at least one more church by 2026, God willing, to celebrate Peoples Baptist Ministries' 50th anniversary by doubling our ministries and reaching more unreached areas.

Attacks

Two of our men, Pastor Biswajit and his friend, were attacked by anti-Christian elements while visiting an unreached area in Orissa. 

They were beaten and confined, but God's great hand miraculously delivered them. 

Leper Ministry 

The work among the lepers in Raipur is progressing, with nearly 50 gathering to worship the Lord. 

Pastor Sika Sahu is working among them. Pastor Biswajit Bagh also ministers among the lepers; seven of them were baptized, and the work is progressing. 

We pray to provide warm clothes and blankets for these dear ones.

Children's Homes 

With His mighty help, we provided many children's homes in the north with warm clothes. 

Some believers, despite having little, donated their land to construct church buildings.  

Seeing these believers, laymen, and pastors give out of their poverty is thrilling.

Sometimes we are overwhelmed by the needs and necessities to fulfill the Great Commission for His glory and the expansion of His kingdom by adding more souls daily. 

But His name needs to be proclaimed, as it is the only hope for lost and ruined humanity.
