Happy Halloween!

Our fall-like low 70's should be with us through the week with a slight warming trend for next weekend.

As the leaves turn color and drop to the ground our community and the air gets a little crisp and our neighbors start to put on their jackets and sweaters to take their walk (with or without their pups). It's a fun time of year to get outside and greet our Rossmoor neighbors.

Sweeper Monday - Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Monday, November 1st which means the street sweepers will be in Rossmoor trying to clean up all the leaves and debris that our wonderful urban forest has been dropping into the streets. The only way for the sweepers to pick up the mess is for our vehicles to not be in the streets. Please remove your vehicles from all Rossmoor streets between 8:30 and 4:00 on Monday. Thanks!

2021 Rossmoor Toy Drive

Our Annual Rossmoor Toy Drive kicks off tomorrow November 1st and runs for the month of November. The Youth Center's program for local families provides a boost to those that need a hand to make this holiday season special for their children.

Two ways to help. First, you can go shopping and purchase gifts for children ages 3 to 17 and drop them off at Ganahl Lumber, the Friends of the Los Alamitos-Rossmoor Library, or The Youth Center (addresses above) during regular business hours.

Or the second way, is to make it super easy for you by letting The Youth Center team take care of the buying for you. You can do this by making a donation to The Youth Center (click here) and you may even be able to deduct the gift on your taxes.

You've Been Boo'd - Winners

Our 2021 You've Been Boo'd Nomination and Recognition contest has it's nomination winners and has announced the first of three homes who will be recognized with the You've Been Boo'd signage from Kelly Ore at Creative Yard Cards.

This year's contest has been sponsored by Realtor Penny McCann and we truly appreciate Penny's support throughout the year.

Supervisorial Redistricting Map Proposals

The County of Orange has received eight (8) proposals for how to redraw the County Supervisorial Districts for the next 10 years. Redistricting is the regular process of adjusting the lines of voting districts, including Orange County’s Supervisorial Districts, in accordance with population shifts. The redistricting process is done every 10 years for local, state, and federal governmental bodies by using updated Census data.

These maps only apply to the Supervisorial Districts and will apply to the upcoming June 2022 elections. These maps are strictly about how the County's Supervisorial District lines are drawn.
