Hi  Our min-heatwave should will continue through tomorrow with highs once again in mid-80s. On Friday we should be back into the mid-
to low-70s for the weekend and on into next week. Tomorrow will be prefect for stopping by the Rossmoor Farmers Market. Â ShakeOut Thursday Morning Before the
Rossmoor Farmers Market on Thursday, the world's largest earthquake drill will happen at 10:20 a.m. That's when the Great ShakeOut will happen. This earthquake awareness drill is an important reminder that a quake can happen at any time of day and can be centered almost anywhere in Southern California. Will you be ready? Does your family know what to do? Do you have a reunion point for your family (really important when your cell phone doesn't work)?
Take a few minutes and think about it. Get started with the resources here. Â October's Get Shredded - Saturday October 29th Bring your shredding to our free quarterly shredding event on Saturday, October 29th at Rush Park. We'll be there from 8:00 until noon. hope to see you
there so you can be rid of all those documents you want to shred before the holidays arrive.  ALSO, the OCSD will be holding a "Drug Takeback" Event on 10/29 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Rush Park. So if you have any unwanted or expired medication or drugs, you can drop them off
after you drop off your shredding. The Drug Takeback is no questions asked, but they cannot accept sharps. Â Did you see this? Â Rossmoor has the most awesome people! Rossmoor resident, former RHA Board member, Tim Weidenkeller and his wife Tina are three quarters through their San
Francisco to San Diego Bicycling event - spending tonight in Santa Monica. They are raising money for Challenged Athletes Foundation. WTG. Challenged Athletes Foundation raises money to help offset high costs of adaptive sports equipment for those with physical challenges who want to be physically active.  More details here. Â
