So we have a upper 60s partly cloudy
week ahead of us with a bit of a warm up happening next weekend. It will be nice for getting out (like it is most weeks here in SoCal) and we have a full moon on Tuesday. The sun will be rising about 6:15 and setting around 7:30 each evening. Have a great week! Moon

This year’s Earth Day theme is Planet vs. PlasticsIt is critical that all of us actively do our part to reduce our plastic usage, because…. - Unlike other materials, a vast majority of plastic does not biodegrade or break down
- Plastic often breaks into tiny pieces called microplastics that pollute our planet (and even end up in the food we eat and products we use)
- Over 40%
of landfill waste is plastic
- Toxic chemicals are released during the plastic manufacturing process
In our world today, the insidious spread of plastic pollution has reached alarming levels, threatening the delicate balance of our ecosystems and endangering the well-being of both wildlife
and humanity alike. From the vast expanses of our oceans to the remotest corners of our lands, the presence of plastic waste has become an undeniable reality. Click for the rest of the story

Food Network Star Jet Tila - In Person
|
|
OC's Clifton C Miller Community Center is not that far from us - Tustin. OC Public Libraries is hosting Jet Tila - yes, Jet Tila of Food Channel fame! What better way
to celebrate mom than treating her to an afternoon of how to make delicious Thai dishes, from an internationally acclaimed chef? For free. Yeah
we know, take mom out to learn how to cook great Thai for us. We thought you would question that. How about taking notes and learn how to prepare the dishes yourselves? Then treat mom to be a guest at your mealtime get-together every week. Now that's a win. Mother's Day gifts of being treated to your cooking, all the time. Plus, social time is healthy time

Another reminder that there are savings for those needing the use of electrically powered medical devices – things like CPAP machines and (under certain circumstances) air purifiers can qualify. While this might not seem like a big savings, its real value is seen in the generous allowance that often allows your household to stay in a lower billing tier, that is based on total kilowatt-hours.
Our Rossmoor. A great place to live since 1957
