I was asked recently, if I could talk to anyone past or present, who would it be? What would I ask?
Do you have someone in mind?
My answer was Abraham Lincoln - maybe a little cliche because he might be chosen by many people. I didn't have a question to ask - just gratitude to offer for the Light he brought to the world in a time of chaos and great need.
He was a hero, for sure, and his words live on in lessons we pass along, the monuments erected in his name, and his likeness on our currency.
Today (and every day) the heroes we meet are the ones who help, even though it comes at a cost, and even though there's no recognition.
