Today's Tip applies to Taking Care of the Care Taker
Â
Focus on
Flexibility!
Â
Earlier this week,my kind-hearted husband shared Covid with me - so I'm taking this Focus on Flexiblity tip to task and attempting to keep it short!
Â
There's a lot happening in the world right now. Â This can also be a crazy busy time at school, work, and beyond.
Â
Â
There are things you can do to help get yourself through.
Â
Yes, you should #1 make sure you are Taking Care of the Care
Taker! Â You can also think about ways to be flexible or go with the flow. Â
Â
If you are entertaining or invited to a party, could you pick up a dish or two? You could even put the 'picked up' items on your own plates and make it seem more 'home made' if it bothers you that you didn't do it
yourself.
Â
Ask your kids/partner to do an extra chore or a different chore this week. Â It might not be perfect, but it could help reduce your stressload.
Â
Maybe hire someone, if it's within your budget. Â It could be a neighborhood teen to entertain/distract your kids for a few hours. Â A cleaning service? Â Get your groceries delivered instead of spending the time driving to/from the store and waiting in the check out line...
Â
If things
are as they always have been and they may be need to be a little different at this time of year, try to use your flex-muscle and let them be different!
