Remember to Take a Time
Out!

Are you able to stop running and/or stop doing everything for everybody for a little bit and just breathe? Â Or cuddle with your kids?

Our
brains were not meant to be inundated with text & email notifications, hundreds of social media posts, TV channels, and activities to juggle.
Â
It's no wonder that we feel overwhelmed and exhausted. You can turn some of that frazzled feeling off by turning the noise down and tuning out. Â
Take a Time Out.

Slow down, unplug, and give your mind a little break. Â

As parents, we can't just drop everything anytime we want. We have responsibilities that we 'must' attend to (hey, the kids need to eat something!). Â We can, however, schedule time to do different things than we normally do during the work/school week. Read, play board games, go for a walk. Â Call a friend.

I try to do this every Friday evening to Saturday evening. I'm not always successful, but it's a goal I strive for every single week.
Â
Even if you can only take a short time out, it's worth it!
