Many parents of intermediate and more advanced players have been asking what learning options we have that are not catered toward beginners. Please see some options below. If Interested in Online Term Classes, we have those too, they start at the end of the month!
WEEKEND CLUBS, all-Levels!
Weekly in-person 'drop-in' group classes that provide a great combination of casual/competitive games and quality instruction (scholastic-only). You do not need to pre-register or commit to multiple weekends; you may simply show up at any BAC club on any weekend you want and make payments at the door! We have clubs active every weekend (in Palo Alto, Fremont, San Jose, Santa Clara and Cupertino!). San Jose has an Advanced Club for Intermediate or higher players!

BAC In-Person Tournament Team,
USCF 500-1250 (required)
2-hour in-person classes in Palo Alto, Saturdays 12PM-2PM on five scheduled days, hosted by Senior Coach Wolfgang Behm. BAC Teams provide more in-depth training with Tournament play/analysis in mind. Prepare for upcoming STATES! The Course is for 5 session dates: 1/27, 2/10, 2/24, 3/16, 3/30. See Link for Make-ups. Members are awarded Shirts, Workbooks, and a Free Rated Quad Event.

BAC Master Camps (USCF 800+)
BAC is well known for our Seasonal Camps in many locations! Did you know that our Master Scholastic Chess Camps (800+ USCF) now come with free Rated Games? Dozens of Regular Chess Camps (0-1100 USCF) are of course also available!
Camp blocks are generally 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm, check dates and locations below.
