This Weekend

BAC Weekend Club Special Event
Friday, April 20th 6-8PM @ Fremont

with GM Enrico Sevillano

Special Event: Friday, April 20 @ Fremont Friday Night Club

Parents,

We have club events planned all through the Spring, keep track of them here:

Our next Club Event is a GM SIMUL at our Fremont Chess Club:  Friday, April 20th, 6-8 pm!

Location:  Macau Cultural Center♖

         109 J Street, Fremont, 94536

This event will feature Grandmaster Enrico Sevillano performing a casual Simul at our Fremont Club.  For those of you unfamiliar with a Simul: simultaneous exhibition is a board game exhibition (commonly chess or Go) in which one player (typically of high rank) plays multiple games at a time with a number of other players. Such an exhibition is often referred to simply as a "simul".

The Simul will feature a rotating schedule, so that roughly 8 kids may be participating at any given time and are replaced by new challengers as the games end.  Students of all skill levels are welcome to participate!  We highly suggest that notation is used for both a keepsake and for analysis.  When not playing in the Simul, the players will benefit from the ongoing regular Fremont club with exciting instruction, lessons and games.  Pending attendance and the speed of the games, players may get to play against GM Sevillano multiple times.

We will also be giving out small prizes to all the attend, as well as raffling off more prizes to a random winner!

We hope to see many new kids participate in this fun event and get a chance to not only play a Grand-Master, but also to experience what our variety of clubs have to offer.  There is no registration necessary, as all BAC clubs use our standard drop-in scheduling.  Club fees are not altered for our events (cash/check).  Online payments can be made in advance here: enrichment.bayareachess.com/club/friday-evening-chess-club-fremont

REMINDER:  For the Month of April, all Pre-paid Club Bundles (from any club) may be used interchangeably with the Milpitas and the Fremont chess clubs.
SPECIAL:  Any student that attends both of the next two Club Events (Fremont on the 20th and Milpitas on the 28th) will receive an honorary "Traveler's Trophy" from Coach James.
We look forward to seeing you there.  Thank you for helping us with our mission of Transforming lives through Chess!

Many Thanks,
Coach James
