Special PUZZLE COMPETITION

Saturday, April 28th 9-11AM @ Milpitas

Rising Star
First Tournament for the curious players!

Sunday, April 29th 10AM-12PM @ San Jose

Parents,

We have club events planned all through the Spring, keep track of them here:

Our next Club Event is a PUZZLE COMPETITION at our Milpitas Chess Club:

        Saturday, April 28th, 9-11 am!
♖ Address: 372 Turquoise St, Milpitas 95035

Welcome to Mate-Craft, by Coach James!  This special Milpitas Event will explore the unique art of Chess through mysterious and puzzling positions.  Our scholars will be given the position with cloaked pieces, but it will be up to THEM to determine what the pieces must be for the position to be a Check-Mate.  With a sliding-scale of difficulty and multiple answers possible, players will race to be the most efficient with their designs.  ALL players will gain some momentum and confidence with the puzzles.. but are also guaranteed to be challenged and stumped by the great complexities of Mate-Craft!  Come experience the challenge and the fun with me, "King of the Rooks", and the wonderful Milpitas Coaching staff!

Prizes included for every participant, as well as categorical awards for our top scorers!  We welcome all kids to attend, even those that might not be ready for (or interested in) Mate-Craft puzzles, as the Milpitas club will still be hosting quality games and instruction for all!

Main flier for ALL clubs: https://enrichment.bayareachess.com/page/club-flyer
We hope to see many new kids participate in this fun event! There is no registration necessary, as all BAC clubs use our standard drop-in scheduling.  Club fees are not altered for our events (cash/check).  Online payments can be made in advance here: https://enrichment.bayareachess.com/clubs/register-online
We look forward to seeing you there.  Thank you for helping us with our mission of Transforming lives through Chess!

REMINDER:  For the Month of April, all Pre-paid Club Bundles (from any club) may be used interchangeably with the Milpitas Club, so if you have an open bundle already.. you may use a session in Milpitas this weekend only!
SPECIAL:  Any student that attended the previous event AND this event (Fremont on the 20th and Milpitas on the 28th) will receive an honorary "Traveler's Trophy" from Coach James.
OBITUARY:  We are temporarily suspending the Fremont Club, likely until Fall of 2018.  It will be missed.  Do you have a location that you would like to see a NEW BAC Club?  Let us know!

See you on Saturday!
Many Thanks,
Coach James
