So, here it is:
If there is one thing you should be asking God this year, I hope you ask God for Qarah. (No, it’s not a typo.)
It’s a Hebrew word from the Old Testament. This word appears in the Bible for the first time in Genesis 24.
The story goes like this:
Abraham asks his oldest and most faithful servant to go seek a wife for his son Isaac.
He tells him that, "My God has sent an angel who will go and prepare the way for you."
The loyal servant sets out and prays, "God give me 'Qarah'," which means give me success/right happenings.
He then asks God to give him a sign saying, "See, I am standing beside this spring, and the daughters of the townspeople are coming out to draw water. May it be that when I say to a young woman, ‘Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I’ll water your camels too’ - let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that
you have shown kindness to my master.”
Before he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder.
The servant hurried to meet her and said, “Please give me a little water from your jar.”
“Drink, my lord,” she said, and quickly lowered the jar to her hands and gave him a drink.
After she had given him a drink, she said, “I’ll draw water for your camels too, until they have had enough to drink."
Pretty cool right ! That's what happens when we ask God for qarah and expect success.
So I would really encourage you this year to ask God for Qarah in your life.
'Right happenings' is one of the many wonderful things you deserve,.
Jesus said these words over 2000 years ago and it remains true to this day: "Ask and you shall receive."
So, ask and you will receive,.
As always, thank you for making time for me and may you always be in the right place at the right time.😊
If you know anyone who needs 'qarah', share it with them.
xo,
Indu
