When I lived in India, we would have power cuts at night especially during summer, and my mum would plan in advance making sure there were candles available so we would not have to sit in darkness.
If you have never experienced power cuts, imagine this scenario.
(I have made it a tad bit dramatic I think.)
It’s a dark stormy night.
You are home alone and your phone goes dead. Suddenly, all the lights go out in your area and it’s pitch dark everywhere.
You can’t see a thing, and, if you are not prepared for this, you are likely to stumble into things or maybe even hurt yourself.
Not exactly the best scenario to be in, but, in life, you and I are both likely to go into areas that are new & unknown which may feel uncomfortable, unfamiliar and sometimes even extremely scary.
What do we do, and how do we come out victorious?
The Bible says:
"Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
When God’s Word becomes a daily part of your life, you’ll be guided to the blessings God has for you that need to be claimed by you.
It’s like if someone gave you a million-dollar cheque, technically you have the money; but in order to enjoy it you need to cash the cheque.
It's the same with God’s Word.
Technically, you are already blessed by God but in order to start enjoying the blessings, you need to start spending time with His Word.
What is His Word ?
Actually, "WHO is the Word?", is the right question.
The Gospel of John starts with revealing who it is.
John 1:1-4:
1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2. He was in the beginning with God.
3. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
The Word is Jesus.
As you start spending time with God’s Word - Jesus, and focus on His love for you, He will:
Guide you along the best pathways for your life.
Hold your hand and not let you stumble.
Bring you out victorious in such a way that others will be amazed by what He did for you!
And these will be some of the other blessings that you will enjoy:
1) You will have a peace that the world cannot give but can come only from the Divine.
2) You’ll be able to sense God’s presence and His guidance in everything you do and say. The world will see you as wise.
3) You will have hope and excitement because you know God’s wonderful plans for your life.
4) You will have favor and success
not because of your actions, but because of Who is with you.
5) Above all, you will have a deep knowing of how loved you are by God.
, a little prayer I want to speak over you is:
May you always seek God and may God always guide your every step and shower you with His love and blessings in the mighty name of Jesus.
Until the next time, stay blessed, happy and inspired.
