THIS THURSDAY: Terraforming the Desert Part 3 (People Systems and Cultural Frameworks) Presentation with Neal Spackman

Published: Mon, 11/07/16

It's MONDAYYYY,
Hey Everybody, really
appreciate all your feedback
on our last class.  It feels
great to read so many messages
from around the world on what
you're getting out of our presentations.

This Thursday, we're going into
Part 3 of Neal's Terraforming series. This one
is especially important because it deals with
the most challenging aspect of Farming
and Ecosystem Regeneration:
People Systems.

As climate is the foundation for our ecological designs, culture must be the foundation for our people designs.

In this presentation, Neal will show us a framework he uses for understanding and working within foreign cultures, and leading cultural change.  This will eliminate the one-size fits all approach that many people take to "People Care" in Permaculture and give you a framework for adapting social systems to local preferences and conditions.

Within any system, the social component is always the hardest.

Neal had a steep learning curve in his mission to green the Saudi Desert with a tribe of local Bedouins.  He had to adapt to different cultural values, systems, and expectations in order to make the project a success.

If you're interested in seeing what it takes to create Regenerative People Systems, even in a different culture, then join us for this Thursday's webinar!  If we can learn to work across cultures, then we can repair our farms and ecosystems.

Hope to see you all there!
