High Desert Water Security and Aquaculture Webinar with Wayne Dorband and Neal Spackman

Published: Mon, 02/06/17

Hey Folks,
Hope you've had a great weekend, I know it's been a long break in the world of the SDMC but we're getting back in the game, and lining up some great webinars for 2017!

This week, we're bringing on a name you might have seen in previous classes, but might not know alot about...Dr. Wayne Dorband.

In October I had the pleasure of visiting Wayne's ranch in Colorado, and I was blown away by what I saw. Hidden in the mountains it is one of the best examples of permaculture entrepreneurship and aquaculture I have seen in the Southwest.

At the ranch, almost a dozen pond systems weave together, which captures massive quantities of water and restores wetland areas that are brimming with fish.  All this, despite being in a dry area of Colorado.   It was one of the most inspiring things I've ever seen, which is why I asked him to do a webinar with us as a case study for High Desert Aquaculture.

If you live in a dryland, or you're interested in aquaculture, pond building, or ecological income streams, then you should definitely join us on the webinar, because it will be an incredible class, and an incredible design case study.

Also, after the presentation, Wayne is going to be doing a pitch for his program, Ecological Action Team.  If any of you are interested in further education with Wayne, then stay tuned for that.

Have a great week and hope to see you all on Thursday!
