Raleigh and I are coming up on the end of our third year running Sustainable Design Masterclass (SDM). In that time we've interviewed scientists, authors, farmers, entrepreneurs, and some of our own personal heroes about creating sustainable societies and regenerative agricultures.
The last three years have also seen significant change at my day job in Saudi Arabia, on the Al Baydha Project. We cut all the irrigation to our system in August 2016 with the hope that our system would be ecologically sound enough to survive just on the rainfall we get, which averages under 2 inches a year. I've sat in council with my team in front of princes & politicians who wanted to learn about permaculture because of the work we had done. And I've
had some significant failures that i'm still feeling the effects of.
This Thursday i'll be doing an AMA (Ask me anything) and I'm trying convince Raleigh to do one in the coming weeks as well. We aren't advertising this or spreading it outside of this email and we won't be rebroadcasting it either.
