We just had a great class today with Patrick Worms of the World Agroforestry Centre.  Many of us have heard about or even use Agroforestry systems....but nothing like this.  Patrick is a true wizard of Agroforestry. In an amazing 90 minute presentation, Patrick broke down why Agroforestry systems are more productive than both Forestry and Agriculture systems combined, with both crops and woody materials.  In every aspect, from nutritional output, to economic output, and ecological productivity, Agroforestry systems were the winners when analyzed against any land based agriculture system.

If we are to have a future with enough food for all, then Agroforestry systems are a key part.  Another great reason to watch is Patrick also touches on Marketing for Agroecology and Agroforestry, and better ways we can reach landowners, farmers and governments so that they will use these systems.
