How to Reverse Algae Blooms and Protect Waterways (Special Webinar Replay with Tom Duncan)

Hey Folks,
Happy 4th of July! I hope you’re getting outside to enjoy some nice weather, good food, and good swimming. Though most of us love spending as much time as we can in the water during summer, high heat brings a condition that can make our favorite waterways un-useable: algae
blooms.
As fertilizer and sewage runoff from farms and cities enters lakes, rivers, and coastal areas, algae blooms can make the water areas we love toxic. Just last month, as I was driving up through Oregon, I was surprised to see people lined up at supermarkets buying water….the reason? Toxic algae blooms rendered the city’s drinking water unusable.
This is a worldwide issue with a frustratingly simple cause, but it carries a high price tag. All told, algae blooms cost the U.S 2 billion dollars a year alone.
However, last year, we brought on a speaker who had a mind-blowingly straight-forward, low cost way to reverse algae blooms in waterways…Tom Duncan.
In the webinar we hosted with Tom, he described how Floating Wetlands, which were pioneered in southeast-asian rice paddy systems, became a tried and true method to reverse and prevent algae blooms.
In the webinar, Tom shows how his Floating Wetland "AquaBiofilter System" was able to soak up high levels of waste and fertilizer in municipal waterways, and restore waterways to state of environmental health not seen in decades. If the topic of aquaculture, algae blooms, and water restoration appeals to you, then I encourage you to watch, or rewatch the webinar with Tom, which will be available till July 11th.
