Restoring Australias Lost Ecosystems with Byron Joel + Nicole Masters Soil Webinar Replay
Published: Mon, 10/01/18
Hey there ,
We just had a great webinar last week with Nicole Meyers of Integrity Soils, who went over her two decades of work with converting degrading,
chemical agriculture land into thriving biological farms and ranches. Her approach to soil restoration combines Elaine Ingham's biological methods with holistic land management and social management, so it was fascinating to hear how she helped farmers convert over 1 million acres over the last 20 years. You can watch the replay
here.
This week we have a webinar that's been a long time in the making. We have Byron Joel coming to join us! For those of you unfamiliar, Byron Joel is the creator of Oak Tree Designs in Western Australia, along with being a dry climate plan systems consultant, a Regrarian who works with Darren Doherty frequently, and a plant geek who's a blast to learn from.
In this webinar, Byron will take us back in time to paint a picture of how
Aboriginal Australian's managed the continent over the last 30,000+ years. Though Regenerative Agriculture and permaculture may seem like a new idea in our world of globalized agriculture, to the Aboriginal Australians it was a way of live for longer than Western and Eastern Civilization has existed. Byron will share some of the great ecological lessons from these first peoples, and show how their management practices could help restore ecosystems and local economies on a bioregional scale across the world.
