Soil Restoration in Times of Emergency (Two New Webinars this Week)
Published: Sun, 04/05/20
Greetings ,
As we enter interesting times...
I'm grateful that you've joined us us for any of our webinars over the past few years. We're entering a time where suddenly it's vital to know how to care for our own needs...though you've probably known that for a while.
This is a time where growing our own food, raising plants from seed, supporting local farms and taking care of our community is a necessity instead of a luxury. Even if you've never gardened before, it's a good time to start.
I know as soon as I saw giant cues at the supermarket, it was time to punch the gas pedal on a long overdue victory garden/compost extract project. (Will send some more videos on that soon)
With a global pandemic and another great recession looming...these are serious times; but for those of us trying to grow our own food, or make a living on land, learning how to restore soil is infinitely important.
That's why I wanted to bring two new webinars to you this week on soil restoration that could help with growing better plants.
Webinar #1 Soil Biology Professionals in Action with Dr. Elaine Ingham
Monday, April 6th, 11AM PST
In this webinar, join Dr. Elaine Ingham, Keisha Wheeler, Tanja Dekker, and Daniel Tyrkiel as we show global case studies for biological soil restoration. See how professionals are transforming degraded land and farms back to health, growing more food with less inputs, and creating careers in soil restoration. Daniel will also be launching his compost thermometer kickstarter campaign on the webinar.
Webinar #2 Rapid Soil Building for Emergencies and Beyond
Thursday, April 9th, 11am PST
Last week, Erik Ohlsen held a fantastic webinar called Building Your Pandemic Victory Gardenand the response was massive, and immediate. As a followup, we decided
to host a webinar focused on soil building, so that we can start to grow as much nutrient dense produce ands seeds as rapidly as possible. In this webinar, you'll learn five things you can do immediately to grow biologically active soil, so you can have the best plants possible.
