Healing Communities and Ecosystems; Webinar with Zach Weiss this Thursday
Published: Mon, 03/22/21
Hey there ,
Greetings on World Water Day! Today is a great day to take a moment, and count the blessings for one of earth's most precious gifts; clean fresh-water. We can't live without it, and yet it's taken for granted everywhere.
No matter where you are in the world, you've probably been touched by a water crisis recently, whether that's day zero water shortage in a major city, an exceptional drought year hitting your area, or algae blooms affecting your water quality. Though these problems are getting worse every year, there are
also profound, actionable solutions for reversing them. Today, we wanted to share an opportunity to learn about ways we can restore our freshwater supplies; whether that's on land in ponds and earthworks, in the soil itself, or deep down in aquifers.
Water Restoration Webinar with Zach Weiss
We wanted to share a webinar that's all about Water Restoration, presented by a practitioner who's building ponds and water restoration landscapes across the world; Zach Weiss of Elemental Ecosystems.
Zach will be diving in and showing you practical methods of restoring water to your landscape, and a global vision for regenerating ecosystems and stabilizing our climate by repairing the water cycle.
I've been fortunate to work with Zach over the last few years, and have seen how his pond building projects have transformed dry landscapes into water rich spaces.
If you're interested in learning how work with and repair earth's water systems, then you'll want to tune in to this webinar. Zach will also be sharing a global water restoration community on the webinar that you can take part in now.
A Message on World Water Day
The power of water restoration to impact our climate cannot be overstated. As multiple environmental crisis are converging worldwide, restoring water habitat is one of the most effective ways we can stabilize our local microclimates and create pockets of biodiversity and fertile land. The good news is, we can be leaders in this, and we can organize
and advocate for decentralized water restoration projects on our land, or on common land near where we live. I'm excited to share some of these stories in the coming months.
Have a great week and hope we can work together to restore water.
