We had a great time going over examples of how to increase water infiltration across landscapes by adding Soil Biology treatments like Vermicompost. Nicole had some great side by side examples of how areas treated with Biology were able to retain water throughout the season while the neighbors land was going dry.
Overall this webinar was a look into ways we can repair hydrophobic, dusty soils so that they can capture rain and hold it throughout the year...and as a result...revegetate the land, rehydrate the water table, and repair the water cycle.
Followup on the Water Stories Platform
We'll have more followup on soil and water questions on the Water Stories platform for folks who still want their questions answered by Nicole, Zach, and other Soil and Water Restoration practitioners.
More opportunities to learn from Nicole Masters
We also wanted to share a few of Nicole's upcoming courses with everybody, for those who want to dive right into direct learning with Nicole.
This introductory course covers these questions: How can I measure soil health? What are my underground livestock and how do I feed them? Is my water quality suitable for my animals and farming/ranching needs? How do I know if my soil is compacted? What does healthy soil look, smell and feel like? Are my weeds trying to tell me something? How can I get rid of my weeds without using poisons?
This masterclass course covers these questions: What is Regenerative Agriculture? How do I profitably transition my operation to a low-input regenerative food production system? How can I get rid of my weeds without using poisons? Who is my underground livestock and how do I manage them? Why are minerals so important and how can I increase their availability? Are my weeds and pests trying to tell me something?
