Land on the Bottom
|
The "picnic lander" tour is available exclusively from Las Vegas. That's what makes them so unique. And people know it. It's also why they are the first to sell out. The one I like
the best departs from the Vegas Strip and includes hotel transfers by limousine. Feel free to privatize this tour...

4-in-1 SUPER Tour
|
Yes, this tour exists, and in the office we use a bunch of names to refer to it including "MEGA," "Awesome," "Ultimate" and the "4-in-1." Whatever you want to call it, it's the tour that lets you see
it all in less than 7 hours. It goes top and bottom and includes heli and boat. Let's do this.

South Rim 50-Min. Deluxe
|
Going to South Rim and looking for the trip that defines all trips? Look no further than the 50-minute deluxe. This tour's got it all. It devours the
South Rim before heading to the Park's east border. Then it crosses the Canyon and mows over the North Rim. Go ahead and make it private if you like...

Sunset Deluxe Helicopter Tour
|
There's a couple of departure times that I really like. Morning is one. The other is sunset. Seems folks agree because sunset flights are constantly selling out. The reason for this
is they depart once a day and are extremely limited. Even the private option sells out...

Air-Only from Vegas to G.C.
|
This all-air tour is super popular with travelers who are on a tight budget or who have limited time (takes just 3.5 hours to complete!). Flight takes off over Hoover Dam, Lake Mead,
Grand Canyon and the Colorado River before turning back to Las Vegas. Now, for a limited time, you can privatize it...

Grand Canyon "Skywalker"
|
Las Vegas is 45 minutes by helicopter from the Skywalk and the West Rim. Do I recommend you do it? Yes, because it takes 2.5 hours (one way!) by ground. Plus, on this helicopter tour you go over Lake Mead and Hoover Dam before landing on top of the Rim.

Weight Limits |
I like to think of helicopters as the "workhorses" of the sky. They're used for hauling everything imaginable, including people. But they have their limits. More
specifically, weight limits. That said, there's one rim where there is no surcharge and I don't expect that to change in the near future so take advantage of that.

Best Time to Fly
|
Planning a visit to the Grand Canyon? Couple of obvious things to consider. Book your tour in advance and on the Internet. Dress according to weather. And bring a hydro-flask and stay
hydrated. Oh, yeah, and make sure to fly during these particular times of the day.
