Keith Kravitz' Grand Canyon Tours
This Week's Hot Tours...
Hey it's Keith Kravitz and here's a list of what's hot when it comes to Grand Canyon helicopter tours from Las Vegas & South Rim...
Best, Cheapest Vegas Heli
Hey, deluxe tour prices aren't for everyone. That's why there's the all-air option out of Boulder. This flight does Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and the Canyon and a lot in between. It's packed with value and one of my top recommendations for folks on a super tight budget.
Papillon Heli Review
Who is Papillon Helicopters? For starters, the largest Canyon air-tour company on the planet. These guys have been around for more than half a century and only get better with time. This review definitely gives you the background you need if you're still in the planning stages.
Heli Air or Landing Tour?
I get the question all the time from folks who can't get off the fence when it comes to picking a tour. In actuality, it boils down to just that: Air or landing. The rest is downhill when you figure that out. Read this post if you find your own self in this predicament.
Budget Skywalk Heli
I consider the Skywalk to be Las Vegas' greatest outdoors attraction. Made of glass, the Skywalk lets you walk 70 feet over the edge until you are standing 4K feet over the bottom. It's an awesome experience. Except if you have to wait an hour or two to do it in the hot summer sun because you don't have a VIP pass, which this basic Skywalk heli package includes.
Vegas Heli & Raft
Summer time is rafting time! In true Vegas style, we go over the top and make an already great trip greater by kicking it off with a heli ride to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. The raft segment starts at the base of Hoover Dam, from which you float 13 miles downstream amid the sheer walls of Black Canyon. It’s a damn fine sight to behold and if it’s your lucky day you’ll spot a big horn sheep precariously perched on a cliff.
South Rim Heli Rides
Headed to Grand Canyon, Arizona? Then you'll want to put a South Rim heli ride on your list of things to do. Especially if you're just stopping by The Park. Why? Because these rides will let you see more in under an hour than it would take in a week. That's no exaggeration. But don't wait until the last minute to book one. They go quick because the word is out how awesome they are!
If You Have to Cancel...
Life happens, right? I've heard 99 legitimate reasons why a client's had to cancel or reschedule a flight. That's why I think understanding the cancellation policy is so important. Yes, I know it's not a sexy topic. But it's one that will save your behind if you have to attend an impromptu wedding or support the Cubs if they get into the World Series.
Weight Limits (and surcharges)
I've been fielding a lot of questions about weight limits for heli rides. Technically, folks, there aren't any. However, if you're doing a Vegas tour and you're over 299 lbs., you'll pay a surcharge. Do the South Rim and there isn't one. Learn all the ins and outs of the weight game. Read this post.
