Want the royal treatment? Arrive at the bottom of the Canyon for a Champagne picnic. After you partake, fee free to walk about as you like and check out the oldest exposed rock on the planet. The Colorado River is
50 yards from the landing pad so make sure you check that out, too. Click here for complete details...

South Rim - Helicopter + Jeep Tour! |
This South Rim combination tour gives you the best from the air and ground. Air segment is a 30-minute flight from South Rim to North Rim and back. Ground is a 2-hour Jeep ride through the National Park that lets you check out all
the best landmarks and lookouts. This tour includes a guide who knows the park inside and out for a true insider's view of the Canyon.

The sunset hours are one of the best times to experience the Canyon. Especially if you go by helicopter. This tour takes off from the Vegas Strip, flies over Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, then lands at the bottom
for a picnic. You'll then fly back just as the sun starts to set and in time for the lights of the Vegas Strip to turn on.

Beat the heat and take this helicopter tour to the West Rim. Flight time is 45 minutes compared to 2.5 hours by bus. Exit aircraft and the exploration begins. Skywalk, Guano Point, Eagle Point, Hualapai Ranch and more await. No hurry, either, as you get up to 4 hours to enjoy. Book it here before it's sold out.

What to Wear During Summer
|
It's getting hot up here! Make sure you stay hydrated and bring sunblock. A brimmed hat and sunglasses will also come in handy as you battle through temperatures that can meet and/or exceed 100 degrees! Yup, it's
an oven-with-its-door-open here at the West Rim so make sure you come dressed for success.

This is the tour you take if you are on a limited budget or have limited time. Fly over Lake Mead and Hoover Dam and the Colorado River. Then it's into Grand Canyon airspace. The helicopter will take you straight through the heart of the Canyon before pulling right and passing the Skywalk before heading back to Vegas.

This is the South Rim tour that I recommend to my mother. Nothing competes with it in terms of experience and price. Starts at South Rim and does a loop over the East and North Rims before landing. When all said and done, you'll have
see up to 75 percent of the National Park on this flight.

Tips: West Rim or South Rim? |
Initially, it seems like a hard decision. But it really boils down to where you're taking the tour from and what day and month you want to do it. Further, it depends on your budget and the kind of time you can dedicate to the tour. Sounds like a lot to sift through but it's really not once you read this article that I wrote on the matter.
