A few years ago, I did a webinar about FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO software, which offers a unique and very straightfoward solution to processing RAW files shot with your X SERIES and GFX cameras. (You can download the free X RAW STUDIO app for Mac and Windows here.)

In my webinar, I run through the basics of how X RAW STUDIO works, show how I use it in my own workflow, and outline some tips on how to make efficient use of this very cool app, which even works with the brand new X100VI!

If you haven't used X RAW STUDIO before, it's unlike most other RAW converters. It takes a unique approach by letting you use and adjust the exact same parameters that you’ll find inside your camera, such as Highlight/Shadow Tone, Color Chrome Effect, White Balance, Monochromatic Color and more.

You can also try out different looks with Fuji Film Simulations to your imagery, and these aren’t copies, they’re the 100% exact color recipes that are used inside the camera.

In fact, X RAW STUDIO actually uses your X Series or GFX camera’s processor to do the conversions (you hook you camera up to the computer via USB), but you use your computer to view your files, make your adjustments and see your changes.

X RAW STUDIO can work great a companion app with your regular photography software, or your can use it on its own to streamline your creativity.

Luminar for iPad

Last week, I told you about the new version of Luminar, which has just been released for iPad. This version of their award winning software offers you great creative flexibility to edit photos away from your desk and get great results, with a very easy-to-use interface.

I've always found Luminar to be a powerful, but very intuitive and easy-to-use program that allows you to quickly achieve great professional-looking results with your imagery. 

With Luminar for iPad, you have all of this right at your fingertips, so that you can edit photos on the go when you're not sitting in front of your computer. It even offers RAW support.

My Favorite Memory Card Case

I've been using the same memory card case for nearly 15 years, and that's the Think Tank Pixel Pocket Rocket. This ultra convenient wallet securely holds up to 9 SD or CFexpress cards, and it easily stows in a pocket, or you can attach it to your belt or camera bag.

It comes in orange or black (I prefer orange, so I can see it more easily inside my pack's top lid), and... well, that's all. It's just an awesome little card case.

Think Tank also has similar cases that hold batteries as well, so if you're looking for card and/or battery storage, I'd highly recommend checking these out.
