How Many Hats Does a Parent Need to Wear?

You don't need me to tell you how many hats you wear each day.

Some hats you'll always wear as a parent.

There are other hats you can choose to wear or not.

I hate to be the bearer of more hats...there is another hat you could wear as an advocate for your child...

Do you know what it is?

A detective hat!

Some days you're the detective looking for the lost hamster that once again has escaped, or figuring out how to sign on to the new Parent Portal to see your child's school work, or trying to discover what that smell in the refrigerator is.

During this week's The Art of Advocacy live training we're going to be detectives as we search for valuable, you-need-to-know information so you can advocate more effectively.

You might just be surprised where I take you to practice your detective skills on Thursday, Oct. 14th.

Not all parents choose to go there,

if you do I'll guarantee you'll find many gold nuggets you never knew existed.

So get your Sherlock Holmes hat ready (pipe is optional) and come with us to do some digging in often unknown and forgotten places.

The world needs more people like you! Let's be detectives together and find new ways that your child can be successfully included at school.
