If you haven’t heard yet, I LOVE discovering the possibilities of what Artificial Intelligence (AI) can do to help us make lasting change in our schools.  

AND the change for students, educators, and families using AI is coming at a fast pace.
 

You can choose to wait and see what’s going to develop, OR you can start learning positive ways to use AI.

SUCH AS 

Modify Assignments: You can modify some of your child’s work and then share with the teachers so that they have new ideas on how to tap into your child's learning preferences. 

PSST: More UDL means less modifications, just saying.

Universal Access: Design activities using the Universal Design of Learning (UDL) framework. Let's make sure every child is valued, actively learning in general education classrooms and making friends. 

Spotlight on Key Concepts:  Pull out the essential bits from subjects like Social Studies, so your child can be responsible for learning key concepts.

Algebra Headaches?: If you've ever stared blankly at your granddaughter’s math homework (trust me, been there, done that), AI can be the cool tutor you wish you had in school.

Adaptable Reads: Rewrite the reading level of non-copyrighted books, articles, teachers’ notes, and more.  

The list can go on and on with the positive uses of AI. 

AND
 

You need to be aware and able to recognize the AI prompts and AI responses that contain bias, prejudice, and ableism. 

This is totally unacceptable and needs to be corrected.  Click here for one example.
