I'm reflective this morning as we had a rough few days in the land of foster care and as we head out the door to go to the funeral of a 40-year-old who left behind two young kids and a young widow.

 

 

When you face the hard parts of life, things like "make sure my vegetables are organic" DO.NOT. have a ranking anymore. 

 

Yes, we need to take care of ourselves so we can care for others. We do this. It is good. Ultimately, this post sums it up and it was helpful for me to re-read this morning. It's about compromising in the kitchen, but really it's about loving God and loving people. There's really not energy for anything else.
