As I was praying through my morning yesterday before the kids got up, thinking through everything I needed to do before church and before hosting a big Easter Dinner - it occurred to me that IT WAS SUNDAY AND TODAY WE CELEBRATE JESUS' VICTORY OVER DEATH.

 

Why it took me that many minutes to work through my menu and think about rolls and cheesecake, I'm not sure. Yes, we were going to have a big family and friend get together. Yes, I needed to be sure and get a pot of coffee ready and grab out a pile of paper plates. The to-do list is never ending and I do find that I have to be constantly thinking ahead to the next thing so that I can sort of manage to accomplish at least a little bit every day (i.e. feed kids, love kids, discipline kids, hug kids).

 

But first I must sit still in the love of Jesus, and position myself to stand firm in His victory over the enemy. Then the rest falls into place.
